Victor Mateevitsi is a Computer Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, and an Adjunct Research Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he leads projects on in situ visualization, high-performance computing (HPC), and extended reality (XR) for scientific discovery. His work focuses on developing scalable visualization workflows for leadership-class supercomputers, including Aurora, and creating XR tools to help scientists explore complex data interactively.

Argonne National Laboratory is a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory dedicated to solving the nation’s most pressing scientific challenges. At Argonne’s Leadership Computing Facility, researchers push the boundaries of simulation, machine learning, and data visualization on some of the world’s most powerful supercomputers. Argonne pioneers the use of immersive technologies like virtual and augmented reality to transform how scientists interact with data, enabling more intuitive, collaborative, and impactful scientific discoveries.
