Deirdre V. Lyons is a Los Angeles-based producer, director, performer, and co-founder of Ferryman Collective, an artist-led company creating live theatre in virtual reality. As part of the writer-director team with Stephen Butchko, she helped bring Gumball Dreams and the Emmy-nominated Uncanny Alley: A New Day to life in collaboration with Virtual Worlds Company. The company also created PARA, Krampusnacht, and Welcome to Respite with Odyssey Adventure Co. She was a 2023 SXSW mentor, named one of the Top 100 Original Voices in XR, received the 2023 XR Women Innovation Award, and was included in the Global Top 100 Women of the Future in Emerging Tech. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy, and a frequent speaker on immersive storytelling, live performance, and the future of theatre.
